My Journey

I am but a dreamer
I came from days gone by
I will live in this hell on earth
till i reach my home on high

society is my jailer
i am a prisoner here
as i try to climb my way out
the ladder seems to dissappear

I walk my path in solitude
hurtful words fall upon my ear
God talks to me and protects me
so i do not shed a tear

society has set all the rules
and i do not fit the mold
I am the short earthy motherly type
born in the days of old

when my journey is over
and this place i flee
God will say hello my beautiful child
and he will welcome me

I will have left behind my human form
the soul is what God sees
my light will shine like a beacon
from hurt i shall be set free
