GRIEF Empty GRIEF

Post by ATouchofHeart June 1st 2013, 7:01 pm

"Grief is healing: To take away our grief is to take away our healing. And learning about life after death helps us heal with greater hope, comfort and peace."
~ Bob Olson

I just came across this quote and thought it was deserving of a post.

Tell us about yourself : I’m a widow; I lost my spouse April 16, 1999 to a broken heart and Cancer. He was a Native American. I have lived on his Reservation in California for 37 years. We were married 23 years. We had two children, lost one to a drunk driver in 97 before my spouse died. I started my spiritual journey when son passed; but woke up to spirituality abruptly June 2009 when I had an event reading by James Van Praagh and he brought through eight deceased relatives. I would love to be a medium in the future, and share that spiritual connection with those who have lost. I take photos of spirits in clouds. One of my favorite spirit photographs at night is an apparition of a Native American Male.

Grief to me also will take one through every imaginable emotion, sadness, bitterness, anger, happy moments, crying, laughter, and plentiful memories, of both good and bad.

It too can either take away ones life, or to spur on ones life knowing we must enjoy and make the most of everyday our God gives us, before we approach our second life.

Grief is like mounting a staircase. Utter unhappiness at losing a loved one. Anger at them leaving us.
Then realisation they are not coming back to us.

Then utter happiness that we will meet up in the spirit world again.... Hug

I think Sanaya
follows this forum.
This is what she posted today.
Is this just a coincident or what?

"You lay to rest your most beloved. “How can I go on without them?” First, understand that they are not resting. They are more active than you are now that they no longer drag around that cumbersome body. They visit you often now, for when you think of them they feel it. It is you who feels sorrow, but do not feel it for the one who has moved on. Treat yourself lovingly as you adjust to this new chapter in your life. The giant hole is mainly the physical presence. Fill this by bringing to mind all the more love you have experienced by having them in your life. What will you do with that love? Why, go out and give it to those who need it—those who did not know the love you shared with your loved one. Translate what appears to be a loss into a gain on a greater scale. Give that love in memory of the one who still walks with you and you are allowing their love to live on. You will see them again, and when you do, you can celebrate the loving use you put to the love they brought to this world. Now that is a win-win situation instead of a loss."

All your replies were GREAT!! Thumb

Yes, visits from them in dreams.
on a long vacation as I see it
Always learning, never stopping
will see them some day and rejoice with the love they have for us.

Smile Grief is a personal path for some people to take at their own pace.crying is very healing and is a big part of grief, and unlike some people think grief may not hit you straight away,it may take many months or years to hit you.but you cant escape it catches you in the end you have to grieve in order to move on.

GRIEF 63239These i find very true
Death leaves a Heartache
That no one can Heal
Love leaver memories
That no one can Steal
There is no Death
Only a change of Worlds
CHIEF SEATTLE.
i ALSO LIKE THIS I HAD THIS WRITTEN ON MY HUSBANDS HEADSTONE.

Time is to slow for those who wait
To swift for those who fear
To Long for those who grieve
To short for those who rejoice
But for those Who Love
Time is Eternal
