Number one is my number one bug-bare, no matter what age a human or pet reaches, you will never realy be prepared for it. Many people tried to say that about my 15 year old dog "she was a good age" if a life is taken from you suddenly, you are never prepared, whether they be young or old.

Thank you Linda, a great post, and I can relate to the best things to say.

it's hard
sometimes stumbbling
over the words and emotions
or just wanting to be there paying a respect
it's hard
if i think that I can't handle a funeral I don't go
it is much more important to those who do decide to attend
to me it's a much more private time than celebrating a wedding...
where more folks will join in on....

we recently lost a friend and
his parents are still grieving
more than just an acqaintance...
it will be there forever for all of us
just more for the ones closest....

it is an opportunity to show who cared... or cares....

Chef Charlie, I'm thinking of you
Could I have helped the situation more....
