Dancing in the Flames
A magnificent, soul-searching film....
"....in the death was the birth of a whole new consciousness...."
Marion Woodman: Dancing in the Flames
“Powerful, insightful, provocative, Marion Woodman: Dancing in the Flames explores the inspiring life and many ‘deaths’ of one of the western world’s most important wisdom keepers, and sends a clarion call to a planet in the midst of “a shedding of its outworn skin”. Renowned Jungian analyst and author, Marion Woodman is celebrated for her work on feminine psychology and addiction, but her words and her wisdom speak to nearly everyone.
With insight from our guide, the brilliant mystic and author Andrew Harvey, Marion explores the mysteries of her soul’s journey and reveals a series of psychological ‘deaths’ and ‘rebirths’ that have made her who she is today. From her battle with anorexia, to her revelatory experiences in India, to her ever-evolving marriage, to her dance with cancer, Marion has ‘died into life’ and thus is a perfect teacher and mid-wife for this critical period in our history. “
“Marion Woodman is at her best, inspiring us to integrate the Feminine and Masculine, see all deaths as thresholds to fresh life, bring together psyche and body, and to be as much of ourselves as possible. Her humour, her depth, her fierceness, and her playfulness all shine.”
James Wells
“Marion Woodman is a writer, international teacher, work- shop leader, and Jungian analyst. With over half a million books in print, she is one of the most widely read authors on analytical and feminine psychology of our time. A graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute of Zurich, Ms. Woodman is the author of Addiction to Perfection, The Owl Was a Baker’s Daughter, The Pregnant Virgin, The Ravaged Bridegroom, and is co-author of Coming Home to Myself (with Jill Mellick), The Maiden King (with Robert Bly) and Dancing in the Flames (with Elinor Dickson).”

Re: Dancing in the Flames
I can relate.....surrendering
and what's worse who wants to surrender the fight
when fighting to win.....
yet in the surrender is the winning to the birth of the new.
It's not easy for anyone
to get thoughts written on paper, readable, and
understood is a great feat......LOL
Passion helps get the meaning across
That's why how can the artist not present
their work...they should.
Granted not everyone will shine.....
