Richard and Kahlan, with the help and guidance of a wise, old wizard named Zedd, set out to stop the evil ruler, Darken Rahl, from capturing the ultimate power he craves.

Richard and Kahlan's journey takes them through dangerous passes, mystical forests, boundaries of the dead and magical lands, until their ultimate showdown with the ruthless Rahl.

Legend of the Seeker Empty Re: Legend of the Seeker

Post by WhiteShaman January 25th 2010, 10:38 am

Greetings fellow fans!
Have you wondered why shows like “the legend of the seeker” appeal to some of us in ways that seem extraordinary?
Could it be the act of seeking or the state of mind of “being” a seeker is our “minds” natural direction?
Can you see from all the seeking you have done, that it never seems to end and maybe even that we don’t want it to?
Can you see that seeking itself can be a way of our minds staying in control and limiting us to the mind state of being?
I have sought my whole life and never did I reach a state of completeness. I learned quickly that there’s nothing wrong with seeking but there is something desperately wrong with “being” a “seeker”.
Just sharing!
(It’s still a great show!) (Although, I will say, they, like every other popular show it seems, I believe, have sunk to using sex and sexuality as bait for attracting it’s viewers. It’s subtle right now, but just watch, it will get worst)

I have noticed in many Billboard Ads, Comercials, that Web Advertisements have used exactly what you have said WhiteShaman, i myself have gotten caught up in it many times, and still do at times. Sexual exploitation of women & men to draw people in is very influencial. I have recently been retraining my mind to break free from oohing & ahhing when i see exposed skin from women actors on television, i tell my self that it is just skin and i have skin also, this body functions just like a woman's body, after all every person on this earth has a Human Body, which i feel is a Vehicle for the Spirit. It helps a great deal to say these things through the day, so i don't get drawn in all the time, its still a work in progress.

I finally did find some time to relax and watch 1 of the 2 episodes that were recorded on the DVR today i shall watch the newest episode called: "DARK"

The one i watched was called: "LIGHT" The sisters of the Light were guiding Richard for training, in hopes to relieve his headaches, anyway one of the Sisters said something that stood out

"Knowledge is easy to gain but Wisdom is much harder"

I've never actually thought about this but it rings true, Knowledge is based on learning where as Wisdom could be gained through Experience. What are your thoughts?

Many Blessings

I agree with your thoughts Spirit-being except that wisdom is not to be gained, there is no one gaining!
Wisdom can only be experienced as it always is there and we are it.

it is easier to Die than it is to Live.....

Wouldn't it be easier on us if our enemies were dead....LOL
As long the enemy lives Life is very difficult.....

I was privledged to see Season two episode 10 and 11
very sexy just like a cartoon - anything goes - a cute storyline....
it's very reminicent of Merlin, King Artur and Camelot...I like it....
the violence is cr***y but it's an action adventure heroic saga....
a good mix in those two episodes
costumes are good too....
rags verses leather, silks/chiffons....LOL Surf

I agree with you d-knots!

The violence is the one thing that I have a hard time with. I turn my head, and don't watch during those times.

But if it weren't so graphic, it would be perfect fun!!

Great show this week!

I'm confused though...it seems everyone goes to the underworld upon death.
What is the purpose of what they call "the creator" ?
Is it just to create the above world so that everyone goes to the underworld?
I must have missed something somewhere.

Interesting Point WhiteShaman

The more i think about it, the more confused i get. Do we actually know where we go upon death? For me i do not know, but i do know that whatever my fate is as a Spirit, that it will be an interesting Experience, A Journey of Wonders & Beauty. Sometimes i have felt that i have already went through the Journey more than once, although i cannot remember it, I can only feel that i once did.

hmmmmm,

in Episode 8 Season 2
Ressurection

there is the Keeper of the Underworld
the Creator of the Light in future episodes

this is the classic good/evil basis
blood/spirit
body/mind
Rahl/Confessor
Lord/Mother
white/black
false/truth
all these dualities...LOL...and more

Richard is told he "earned a place of honor" in the underworld
because he killed many but this may just have been done because
it fits the exchange of the souls better in this particular episode....

I am not sure how this fantasy will play out when Richard really passes
and cannot be revived.

I would really like to see the First Season just to know how it all got to where
it is now...

so basically those who serve the Keeper go to the underworld
so if that is so how did Richard get there unless his soul was forced
by Dena and the Sorcerer....

Enjoy!
Season 1 - Episode 1
(Part 1)

(Part 2)

(Part 3)

(Part 4)

(Part 5)

(And Lastly)

After this episode, the audio gets better....

and have a better jist.....

Zebb was freaking me out with his sunken eyes
and all the slashing going on....LOL

I still would love to just watch all the Seasons and Episodes
to really get the story....

so far ,they have used every plot that has ever been introduced
by the media in all these episodes....LOL
as long as they don't repeat themselves forever like a soap opera
they will be OK....LOL

It's quite a Mystic Adventure Wizard ...LOL

What an amazing episode clearly there is so much to learn from this show.

This one phrase stood out to me that Zed said to Richard:

Zed wrote:Clear your mind of what was and will be

Don't worry about the past, the future has yet to come, all we have now is the present.
