Re: Taoism Related Links

I must say the past couple days i have been trying to hard, in my life on the forums, and in my spiritual practices. I am posting this related to your links as i remember reading something that struck a cord quoted from your blog.

liberatedsoul wrote:"The efficiency of Wu Wei is like that of water flowing over and around the rocks in its path... (like a natural law) that evolves from an inner sensitivity to the natural rhythms of things." (pg 68 The Tao of Pooh)

One of my favorite images of wu wei (though I can't remember where I got it from) is that of a stalk of wheat. If you walk up to it and bend it in your fingers it will snap easily. Yet it can survive most of what mother nature throws at it (be it high wind, hail, etc). When practicing wu wei we must be like the lone stalk of wheat and flow with the rhythms of nature lest we snap in her forces.

As the river flows along the banks, i realize i must let go and allow myself to flow along the banks on the path as well. I tend to take control by doing this i tend to flow against the current. I must let go and just be and allow this path to take me where ever i need to go.

Here is an image i found on the The Tao of Pooh which i find very inspiring :flyangel:

I have never understood the Tao and still have much to learn, i am feeling very drawn to these teachings. Thank you liberatedsoul.

Many Blessings

Spirit-Being

You are very generous! I am glad I have inspired you to look deeper in to the Tao. I actually think that the Tao of Pooh is an excellent place to start. I find the translated texts to be rigid and encumbered at times which is ironically counter-intuitive to the simplicity and ease of the Tao. Another great place to encounter some of the same principles is in The Way is Within by Ron Rathbun. There is a link to it in the book suggestions in the side bar of my blog. Good Luck!!
