From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since the last years of the 20th century, déjà vu has been subject to serious psychological and neurophysiological research. Scientifically speaking, the most likely explanation of déjà vu is not that it is an act of "precognition" or "prophecy", but rather that it is an anomaly of memory giving the impression that an experience is "being recalled".

There are many theories, of them, I only know few. What if, prior to soul’s incarnation into physical body, the soul has been shown or seen the entire life/s and its events, which resulted in recollection of some of the events when they were actually transpiring.

Do you have any theories of this phenomenon? :thnk:

I do feel this to be the case i would just like to add that when we pass on leaving the physical body behind, maybe our soul does know the entirety of it's life. Maybe we do not listen to our soul/higher self here on earth like we should. We are always brushing things aside thinking it away. I have experienced deja' vu 5 - 10 times give or take, i myself would say it is more than what some scientists project it to be. There is no empirical proof either way, but i think we must go by what we feel it to be.

Just to add i do feel Deja' Vu is from past lives does this mean that it is "No" but it is what i feel.

How many times have you experienced Deja ' Vu?

&

while its happening how do you feel?

Many Blessings

I have experienced it but cant say how many times, not too many, and I must say Its a very strange experience, it happens so quickly and because of that I feel it does happen to us more than we realise, Its possible that at that particular moment in time our mind was uncluttered which allowed us to pick up on it, I also believe that its not because we have been somewhere before or done something before but perhaps an insight into something that hasn't happened yet and is still to come, a sort of pre-warning insight into our future, the mind can easily confuse us.

I do experience it rarely; my kids on the other hand experience it regularly. My 12 year old told me she has that daily and sometimes couple of times a day.
I don’t recall feeling anything but I do ask questions. How come this event can be recalled as if some distant memory that has not happen until that moment? Why this particular situation that has no special significance that I see? Now I have new question; Is it a distant memory or a very resent, one that just happened and happened again right after the first one. Like the clock arm got jammed for a second in that particular moment and clicked twice or who knows how many times?

This is very interesting and something i have never contemplated before, I think we assume Deja' Vu is of the past event because it seems so familiar, and it is what many people have said. to think that it could be a feeling into our future is something i will look into. I do know that next time i feel Deja' Vu i will pay closer attention to what is going.

Many Blessings

You hit on some very good points Luda. Could time actually be bent or stopped without our knowing, i would think so. Glitches in the time experience. Usually i get a feeling of what this could mean, no feeling comes to me about the word Deja' Vu i guess i will wait for this experience to happen again and see what i can learn from it.

this web page has some very interesting information.

http://science.howstuffworks.com/deja-vu.htm

Déjà vu is a fairly common experience. .

What Is Déjà Vu?
Déjà vu is the sensation of having a memory or a feeling of familiarity about a place or situation, even though the place or situation is unfamiliar. This feeling of reliving something that has already happened is often accompanied by a sensation of eeriness or oddness concerning the place or situation. The effect can be quite disconcerting, as the person experiencing déjà vu attempts to discover just how he or she came by this feeling.
This intense experience involves most of the senses and is more common in people under the age of 25. One of the hallmarks of deja vecu is that the experience seems to involve very ordinary events, rather than life-shattering ones
There are more than 40 theories as to what déjà vu is and what causes it, and they range from reincarnation to glitches in our memory processes
. The most common misuse of the term déjà vu seems to be with precognitive experiences -- experiences where someone gets a feeling that they know exactly what's going to happen next, and it does. An important distinction is that déjà vu is experienced during an event, not before. Precognitive experiences -- if they are real -- show things that will happen in the future, not things that you've already experienced. (However, one theory about déjà vu deals with precognitive dreams that give us a "déjà vu feeling" afterwards.
