Past life regression - trapped angel ?

Recently i've been lead to more of a spiritual way of thinking, i will talk more about this in another post, but the other day I thought i'd want to know about my past life...
So I put on a past life regression audio guiding me into my supposed past life.
Though i did not feel as though i was out of my body or in a dream, I had flashes of what might be my past life, or if I must say, what I was before entering this earth. I was a bit shocked after it was over , the main flash i remember , and cannot get out of my mind, is looking in the mirror, covering my face with two dark (almost black) wings and just not being able to see my face , i tried so hard to see what my face looked like, and in the moment i was thinking that i can't see my face and am not allowed... I am in a dark room,dark grey walls, kindof earthy and old (sorry i can't describe as well as i see) but my bed has white sheets, no pillow, no quilt, beaming light towards the ceiling, but away from the bed i am bound between this dark room and this earth.
I just need some more insight, some advice? or explanation? i'm feeling very lost at the moment. I'm doubting myself, thinking either i'm going insane or i'm finding myself...both seem scary to me. I really don't know where I am in my life , I don't know why I'm here, where i'm going, or if there is any point, but i feel this overwhelming strength to carry on even if it means struggling through these hopeless thoughts and the pain of not knowing oneself and not knowing where to start. I think I will have to write a post about exactly how i was lead into this spiritual thinking, before I fall into thinking I have a mental illness and seeking help from a specialist who will probably numb me to the point where my mind cannot progress, which is my worst fear, and my hope at the same time. I just need explanations, more information on this way of thinking, and some real advice.

My advice is to stop past life regression as it can destroy your life in this lifetime as you never know what you might encounter once your spirit is out of its human form; what you have seen might have been transmitted by a force that is not of the light. When a spirit leaves its human form it must be surrounded by white light as protection ad that light must also surround the human form
At this present time the world itself is in turmoil with evil running riot trying to get those who are of the light off their path

Always been afraid of regressing to any past life I may have had. What if that life was not good?

Past life regression can be helpful in some aspects especially if you have something that bothers you in this,incarnation that holds the cause is a past life, I have had regression but I went to a hypnotist I didn't do it by any tapes etc,
