Forgiving and Letting Go Empty Re: Forgiving and Letting Go

Post by ATouchofHeart August 29th 2013, 7:31 pm

I liked this article, may print it out for one of my 4+ bosses.

One just moved next to my office from upstairs. He is over us now and doesn't really know me yet. Yesterday I was in his office and he brought up something to do with the Tribe I live with. Then the topic of my son's hit and run came up and my husband's death from cancer. In 1/2 hour I shared with him all about the accident in detail, after the accident, court year later when I was pushed into talking to the defendant by the judge, making; bringing everyone to tears in the courtroom -except me and the judge. Never seeing the one who killed Tommy from that year after 1998 till 2009 when I spirit arranged for me to be on that deep sea fishing trip with the tribe and I came face to face with the one who killed my son - not even knowing who he was but asked and after denial from him finally told him that it was OK, I had forgiven him a long time ago.

This boss was just shaking his head throughout this 30 min discussion. I felt like spirit put us both in the right spot together yesterday so that I could share my experience with him and show him compassion and forgiveness.

He said "I could never forgive someone who killed one of my family - I would rather kick him in the butt" I said......."___ you must forgive, especially prior to leaving this world.

Before I was just a peon to him and his boss. Their egos were all over me and brought me in their office once and belittled me for asking them to "Please send back the signed paperwork to me that I needed signature on" that I needed to process. They brought me in the director's office and my boss; her boss and his boss all sat there while I was talked down to like a piece of dirt. I had CC'd the Human Resource dept on this email and I went up there and told one what happened and he said....."you did nothing wrong".

"We are management - and you are only an admin assistant; we are very busy" In other words. Don't ask us to do anything for you, you are our slave.

What bugs the heck out of them all.......they expected me to crawl into a hole and act like everyone else around there and bow to every movement or word uttered by them. Not me. But I will bend over backwards to help someone who needs help and APPRECIATES me for my work.

I acted like it never happened; played it off to their egos. Now I am getting more respect.

The boss next to me is seeing how hard I work. And seeing just what I am capable of doing; that I have really made a difference in that dept. with my graphic design capabilities.

Yes I did forgive them all for their lack of compassion.

Tell us about yourself : I’m a widow; I lost my spouse April 16, 1999 to a broken heart and Cancer. He was a Native American. I have lived on his Reservation in California for 37 years. We were married 23 years. We had two children, lost one to a drunk driver in 97 before my spouse died. I started my spiritual journey when son passed; but woke up to spirituality abruptly June 2009 when I had an event reading by James Van Praagh and he brought through eight deceased relatives. I would love to be a medium in the future, and share that spiritual connection with those who have lost. I take photos of spirits in clouds. Dear Deb,
Thank you for the lesson in humility and also not letting
others to push one down.
Your attitude is certainly one I can learn from.
Thanks again

You are most welcome.
Abandonment, compassion and humility are two of my lifetime lessons.

Hugs We are all here for the same thing to learn, the world is your classroom go out explore it and learn for everyone you meet along the way you were meant to meet,it was no coincidence.we meet people from all walks of life.everyone can teach us something. as we learm we grow our understanding of what is to be becomes clearer.but above all else we must be true to ourselves for if you are not .your words mean nothing your actions give you away, you must go back to spirit with a pure heart the same as you had when you were incarnated into this mortal life. only then can we be truly be forgiven for our past actions, whatever they may be.

Well said Blackcrow.

I want to just quit work and run away with someone. But I think spirit has me there for reasons; some beyond my comprehension.
At least my lessons. I'm taking a beating at work and am just about at wits end with the stress level.

I am helping a suicidal co-work's daughter a little. I put together a power point presentation with music with 171 photos/quotes so far. I don't know when to stop it. I keep finding more and more. Been working on it for a couple weeks now. Must get it to her soon. Asked mom today at work how she's doing and she said ok but she did have a depression stage this week.

I've been through that,Debs.    If i have ever hurt anyone,I feel the need to apologise.   My conscience won't let me rest.

But in your place of work is not the place to give out remarks like that.     I've worked jobs like that in the past.
There is some real stinking bosses around, believe you,me!

How long have you worked there,Debs?

Forgiving and Letting Go Empty Re: Forgiving and Letting Go

Post by ATouchofHeart November 12th 2013, 2:10 am

I gave that power point presentation to my co-worker's daughter and she loved it. It has lifted her spirits. She is rewriting some of the inspirations on her Face book page.

I just went back today from a 2 week vacation. Only wanted 1 week but boss gave me two so I took it. I started writing my book. At least got the layout completed, all chapter titles written out. One step at a time.

I also helped my daughter sew some things for her website. I made a small comfort quilt for a co-worker's 2yr old son who is quite ill. I took my grandson two weeks ago to a concert in Las Vegas (glad I took my ear plugs)! We visited with my 1/2 sister sat, sun, mon. Went to see a buffalo (one of my totems) at the neighbor's house.

Hopefully I can get back on track to reading and posting. I thought today would be stressful going back thinking that I'd have a ton of work. But the manager I trained to do my work while gone seems to have done a fine job. He didn't do everything but he did keep it all together.

One good thing that came out of me being gone....the boss a above my boss asked why he was still working on payroll during the week.....it's not a brainer to understand that payroll is a daily task not just Mondays. I've never (maybe once before) worked for someone who did not understand or care to know what I do or the process in how to do it. They only like to "manage" and  have you do all the work.

To answer your question Joan, I worked for the casino in 1996 - 1997, son killed 8/97, went to graphic design college in 1/98 - graduate in 99 but husband died and I did not graduate; had to support my other child. Went directly back to the tribe to work but in a different area, not casino. Worked in Public Works/administrative Assistant; pretty much ran the whole office and presented to Council since my boss was unable to do it. Accounts payable, utility billing, payroll (two methods) ran the whole office for five years.

I guess the pressure of working the 8 hrs job and doing a yearly event for 2  years solo showed and an Environmental manager asked me to transfer to her dept. was only for 1 year on a grant. Then I sat for 10 months in a trailer proposing organic gardening budgets to our Council, and to rehab an orchard that died. They decided to not do any organic gardening, farmer's market or orchard project so they put me in the fire dept and after 3 yrs they laid me off due to not wanting to pay me what I was worth. I work hard at my jobs but they were cutting back and laid off three of us. After being out of work I still went back to the same tribe to work…..that’s all I know … working for the Tribe.

I was only 22 when I moved out on the reservation 38 years ago when I married my husband (late husband) so I’ve lived among Natives for a long time. That’s all I know…working for them. I’ve worked seven departments for them.

Long story…and will probably be in my book a bit of it. I’ve had some hard lessons out here being the white girl (this lifetime)

Enough of that…… Hope you are all well.

Dear Deb,
Thank you for your post. The forum is very quiet at the moment.
So it is nice to see someone posting.
Writing a book is always a challenge. To have it published
is something else.It maybe worth considering independent
publishing on sites like Smashwords.
Good luck in your endeavour
