are current movies affecting spirituality?

Post by laura ann on August 16th 2013, 8:44 am

What are your feelings on the new movies.

Are all the shows like Touch, Fringe etc.

and all the movies of demons and scary stuff helping or hindering spirituality?

Are they catapulting people to awakening or simply causing fear?

Could they be helping  people to realize it is okay to be different?

I think they are being made cos spirituality is growing.
And the writers are becoming aware theirselves.
I do think a lot of the films and shows are over the top though and too scary.
I absolutely loved Heroes though and identified with it absolutely!
As for helping people realize it's ok to be different or aiding awakening .... I don't think so.
Those I hav seen have been not true to life.
I would love to see one not so dramatic or scary.

I’ve not heard of those movies so I can’t relate to them.
On one hand it keeps some people in fear and does hinder their spirituality.
But I have also heard – movies like the end of the world with tsunami’s or falling comets make people think and wonder what if or is there something else.
If I had experienced loss of loved ones until later on in life I probably would not have wondered if there was something else out there.

Normally…….(no one is perfect) people who are enlightened don’t watch movies like that. But those who love fear it drives them to more fear. Like an addiction…got to have more.

'Ghost'  I loved.    I feel that told a wonderful story of the spirit world.

'Sixth Sense' too was a very powerful story of spirit as well.

The only two I have been really interested in.
They fall into the category of a true account of passing to spirit.

I LOVED "GHOST" also. Watched it so many times.
It was made in 1990, my son died in 1997.

After Tommy died the medium we went to who lives in San Diego Millie Landis said "Tommy says it's like Ghost"

I like that.    Nice to know that love never dies....I watched the movie as well the other night.

The music says it all.

I love the music. And I love throwing clay on the wheel. It's so relaxing.
