Shadows of your former self continue to appear. How to banish them? Shine your light ever brighter. When there is bright light from directly above there can be no shadows around or within you. There is only one Source, and it flows through you and as you. Shine on, oh beacon of Love, and light up your world.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I believe all aspects of self are beneficial to self.
without dark parts of self to balance the light parts of self we would be  out of balance.

Former self's are again just blips of who we are, were and will ever be. To dismiss parts of the whole  seems ludicrous to me.

To absorb those parts works in my  mind much better.
 
Then the light shines even brighter. As it is in perfect balance and harmony with the Source of all this is and will ever be.

Light can make such a difference to a person's moods.
Sunshine in the morning after a night's darkness.

But I also like the moon light.....

Laura, please explain why we need a dark side too.

I probably do have a dark side, but don't know what it is.

And why/how do we embrace it?

we must have  a dark side to balance our light side.
just is our  choice which one we choose to utilize in our daily life.

Think of it this way Mia.

have you  ever thrown something across the room out of anger
have you  ever slammed a cabinet door angry
have you ever called someone a not nice name our of anger or frustration
have you  ever been mad at yourself
have you ever called your own self names.
have you ever been depressed and or belittled yourself
etc etc etc.

none of those are  truly evil things ,yet all aspects we tap into from time to time  from our dark sides

anytime our thoughts or actions are not pure love and light based we are using our dark sides.

all things in the universe MUST have an equal and Opposite

good /bad
up/down
in/out
light/dark

with out the equal opposite  it will be out of balance

part of what  is wrong on earth right now is the  evil/darkness is so elevated the  earths axis is  getting out of balance

and when and if  it finally  causes  a shift in  balance far enough  it will be as written in prophecies for  2000 years

Not for ages!
Not since I learnt how to forgive and understand others are who they are and not how we want them to be and we all make mistakes etc etc
I have been mad at myself and it takes a while to understand why and how to forgive myself.
I don't belittle myself, cos I understand we are all as good as one another in different ways.

I do have bad points too xxx

they were just examples of how the dark can manifest to us and from us.

I am pleased this quote has produced an interesting debate.
I do tend to see things from Laura's angle but at the same time I
am sympathetic towards mia's ideas.
I see things as a yin-yang arrangement.A little bit of dark in the light
and visa versa.Always in movement.

I actually agree I just read Mia's  words as she did not see why a person held any  dark energy at all. Or should say why it was needed to be held.

The fluidity I can agree on easily... Mood swings as the  fluidity swings.
