Wand Empty Wand

Post by mia March 19th 2012, 2:28 pm

The wand I am making.
I have a clear quartz tip to fix on it.
I am looking for a natural 'glue' to use.
Is there a particular colour ribbon I should have?
I bought a deep bright red and have several large crystal chips to decorate it with.
Is this too much?
See, I didn't know why I wanted a wand, least of all what I would use it for!

I have met someone who makes staffs!
They are beautiful!

That would be Beautiful Mia, i can see it in my minds eye. Not sure how long ago but i felt connected and inspired to find a wand, it felt so magical and i felt the energy might open me up to new things. I don't know much about making a wand but it would be pretty cool to try this one day.

Do you have the shaft for the wand?

and if you do what type of wood is it? Chop Wood

The colour for the ribbon maybe a red or lavender. Artist-1

Mia.... white might be a nice ribbon as it is the color of all colors combined. of course you remind me of pink because you give so much kindness and love

and purple for its spiritual vibration.

you might even consider choosing a few colors then braiding them together to combine energies.

another thought is you might consider using a stronger glue like gorilla glue. I dont think the natural glues will hold the stones sufficiently. What you could consider is sprinkling some crushed herbs or sprinkling some essential oils on the glue to give it more of a sacred aspect.

just some thoughts hun

you could even carve your dragons name on the shaft along with yours and M's

so many artistic possibilities and you are very artistic visually

so this should send your creative mind to many possibiliites

I used part of curly hazel tree to create my wand, I haven't put any trimmings on it as I don't think it needs any, but it is up to the individual as to whether or not they decorate it.

When creating a wand do you strip the bark from it Maggie? Hope this isn't a stupid question but i find this fascinating and may create a wand at some point. Curly Hazel seems to be a great fit for a wand, not sure why but Intuitively it feels right.
