The Will that believes…

In science, the idea precedes the expression of its realization; in spirituality, the experience of realization precedes the expression of the idea. There is a vast difference between the evolutionary will-to-believe and the product of enlightened reason, spiritual insight, and revelation—the will that believes.

The major problem with spiritual awakening is that we all, at least for the most part, start out in a state of ignorance; and in the beginning, all we have is the desire to be a part of the Loving Divine.

The Unfathomable Unknown

Post by sunmystic on November 7th 2011, 2:25 pm

When one sets out to explore God they step into "the unfathomable unknown". But over time, "the unfathomable unknown" becomes "the known", it is just that this "the known" is beyond words or pictures and can not be explained to others.

I concur with this, Sunmystic, for spirituality just as religion is entirely a matter of personnal experience....

Life after Death…….

But to me Death is ever present throughout life and the more we learn to face this fact the more death becomes a friend and ally, a wise advisor who encourages us to live life more fully. To make a relationship with death is to make a commitment to self-evolution and growth.

To face death confers inner strength for it brings us more authentically into the moment, into the fullness of our lives; in other words, it brings us closer to freedom. Living wisely is to prepare for dying well, not for some promise of what will happen after death but because living wisely brings its own merit.

Quoting :sunmystic.
"The major problem with spiritual awakening is that we all, at least for the most part, start out in a state of ignorance; and in the beginning, all we have is the desire to be a part of the Loving Divine".

The more effort we put into, the more we push ourselves to learn and understand the nature of ( spiritual awakening ), the more we achieve spiritual harmony.

The Tao says that one should go with the flow, but what it doesn't say is what "the flow" is Smile .

Sometimes when we are looking too hard we can't see the forest for the trees. Based on my experience in life harmony is not the natural state of things in this world of things. Some version of conflict and push seem to be the natural state of things in this world. The fact that you are exploring harmony is interesting to me Smile it is right up there with understanding "the flow". They both create some interesting challenges as an aspect of one's life being a part of this world of things and also in a personal sense.

The Power of Love……

Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking.
The one is the shadow of the other.

Very true, Sunmystic. It’s just many refuse to accept it.

Saint Augustine pictured God telling him: "I am the food of grown men, grow, and thou
shalt feed upon Me, nor shalt thou convert Me, like the food of thy
flesh, into thee, but thou shalt be converted into Me."

Dark Night of the Soul

Post by Elrick on December 18th 2011, 6:21 pm

Getting Through the Dark Night of the Soul

While the term dark night of the soul is used broadly, its general meaning — in the field of higher consciousness — is a lengthy and profound absence of light and hope. In the dark night you feel profoundly alone.

No truer words were ever said. And eventually the darkness does turn into light and knowledge and you thank God for the gift of the Dark Night of the Soul experience.

I wonder if thats similar to " every cloud has a silver lining "
That we need to go through the dark, before we can see the light. Or that light is at the end of the tunnel.

Idiom Definitions for 'Every cloud has a silver lining'

People sometimes say that every cloud has a silver lining to comfort somebody who's having problems. They mean that it is always possible to get something positive out of a situation, no matter how unpleasant, difficult or even painful it might seem.

Sometimes one has to be really creative to find the positive in some things Smile And in a, generally speaking, negative world the gift of finding the positive in things really irritates them Smile Sometimes I have to question my own motives.

Take Time……

Take time to laugh
It is the music of the soul.

Take time to think
It is the source of power.

Take time to play
It is the source of perpetual youth.

Take time to read
It is the fountain of wisdom.

Take time to pray
It is the greatest power on earth.

Take time to love and be loved
It is a God-given privilege.

Take time to be friendly
It is the road to happiness

Take time to give
It is too short a day to be selfish

Take time to work
It is the price of success.
